比較を使った慣用表現には，さまざまなものがあります。

■not so much as〜： 〜さえしない

�@ The boy  　can not so much as 　 write his own name.
　　　その少年は　  　　　　    〜さえできない　 　　　　　　             自分の名前を書く

■none the less for〜： 〜にもかかわらず

�A I love her  　none the less for her fault.
　　　私は彼女が好きだ　　 彼女に欠点があるにもかかわらず

�@ After winning the tennis match， he was as cool as ever.
